Cai's back! This time with a crowdfunding campaign to record a charity single

In an inspiring case of kids helping kids, Cai wants to give something back after his recent success. Robbie’s Rehab is a personal choice: Cai will donate all his royalties from the purchase and download of the single to this wonderful charity, set up by Robbie Keville, a pupil at Cai’s school Edgeborough. Robbie set up the charity after he lost his mum to breast cancer five years before he died, aged ten, of a malignant brain tumour. The charity helps provide specialist medical professionals to help children with brain tumours and is run out of Southampton Hospital.

“Donating the royalties to Robbie’s Rehab was an obvious choice. Robbie went to my school and also loved music. In a small way I can now help Robbie, who was never able to fulfil his talents, keep giving to kids who still have the opportunity to fulfil their own.’

Cai, who will record the single with his parish church choir Thomas-on-The Bourne in Farnham, also hopes to encourage more children to join the choir and discover the fun and benefits of the great UK choral tradition. Community choirs provide unique access to free music tuition at an exceptional standard and play a vital role in developing and talent spotting children’s singing at grassroots level. We have all experienced how communities have proved very important to our well-being in these tough COVID times.

“I have loved recording over the last year and feel very lucky to have had so many new and fun experiences. But I really miss singing with my choir as this is what I enjoy the most, so do please come and join me and my fellow choristers on this recording!”
